The view was beautiful and staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and we had very large balcony to sit and enjoy the sunset and a drink. The food at the restaurant was nice and we were easily able to park ATVs hired at the hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Katerina as one of the stops during my two-week trip to Greece to celebrate my birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Hotel Katerina's location is perfect - within walking distance of both the beaches and the city center, with a convenient bus stop right out front for those days when you don't feel like walking. And because it’s located up a hill, the views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. The highlight of our stay was the warm, family-owned and operated atmosphere. Petros, the father, kindly picked us up at the ferry, while his daughter, Vicky, managed everything with the flair of an expert concierge. George, the son, ran the restaurant/bar during the day, while the younger daughter, Katerina, took over in the evening. Maria, the mother was always working tirelessly behind the scenes, and if you’re lucky, you might even get a glimpse of the matriarch, Katerina, after whom the hotel is named! Adding to the charm is George’s girlfriend, Katlyn from Australia, who assisted during the day, and the chef, Jessie (I hope I got her name right), who prepared the incredible food. Oh, and I can’t forget their “mascot” Morty, the most adorable dog you’ll ever meet! (I only wish he had a few more balls to play with! Just kidding

View from the room is amazing and breathtaking! You can enjoy the full view in a very quiet place. It is a family-owned hotel and all family members are very kind and friendly, in particular Vicky, Katarina, Georg and Petros (I hope I wrote all names correctly ;-)). It is always nice to go back there!

Excellent choix à IOS, le meilleur selon nous ! Magnifique hôtel à tous points de vue ! Nous y avons passé 4 nuits à notre arrivée dans les Cyclades, puis 2 nuits supplémentaires à la fin de notre périple, tellement nous nous y sommes sentis bien. D'abord l'accueil est très chaleureux et familial. Vicky ou son papa, Petros, viennent vous chercher et vous reconduire au port, ce qui est particulièrement appréciable. Toute la famille contribue activement à votre bien-être. La situation est parfaite, à Mylopotas, à 10 minutes à pied de Chora, à moins de 10 minutes aussi pour descendre à la grande plage ( un peu plus pour remonter ! ), près d'un arrêt de bus si besoin. Situé sur les hauteurs de Mylopotas, la vue sur la baie et la mer Egée est splendide et imprenable, un vrai régal du balcon ou de la terrasse, mais aussi de la très belle piscine super équipée de parasols, de transats et de tables. Les chambres sont très bien conçues et équipées, spacieuses et très confortables, de conception contemporaine agréable, d'une propreté irréprochable, avec grande terrasse pour la 1ère que nous avons eue, et grand balcon pour la 2ème, les 2 avec vue magnifique. Lits super confortables ! Bref, entre la famille très sympathique, les équipements au top, la vue, le calme, la situation, tout a été parfait durant nos 2 séjours. Nous recommandons vivement ! The hotel is beautiful with lovely spotlessly clean rooms. Everything is well maintained and spotless. The view from the pool / bar area is beautiful. The pool is large clean and well maintained with lots of comfy sunbeds and seating with umbrellas for shade. The bar is great and offers a selection of meals which are good quality food well prepared and excellent value. There is a bus stop outside the hotel with buses running every 15 mins to the beach and town. We had a fantastic holiday here and would definitely come back. What an amazing hotel

Beautiful family run hotel. Rooms were perfect and views are amazing! Great location as bus stop outside that runs to the main beach and opposite way to the town but both are walkable within 10 minutes. Everyone was so accommodating and the pool bar was a great touch :) would recommend to everyone!

We loved everyrhing about Hotel Katerina! The whole place is spotless, rooms are beautifully decorated in a modern style & the pool area is gorgeous with stunning bay views. Our enormous balcony was incredible, to wake up and see Mylopatas Beach, the valley & sea was an absolute treat. All the family who run it are super-friendly, full of useful advice & will pick you up & drop off at the port which is really helpful. This is by far the best hotel we stayed in on our 3 week trip & we hope to return.

This place was AMAZING!!! I had read all the other great reviews and decided to book it (even though it was much cheaper than the other places I was looking at), and was blown away!!! They honestly should be charging so much more. The view is spectacular!!! The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable! It’s in the best position approx halfway between the village and the beach, and the local bus (which runs every 15mins) stops right out the front. But the best part about this place is the family that runs it. You honestly feel like part of their family, so you get a true Greek experience. We barely left the hotel as you can have delicious breakfast and lunches served to you by the pool, along with freshly made coffee and cocktails. And at reasonable prices. I can’t say enough about this place as it was the best part of my 5 week trip around Europe. We will definitely be coming back!

We loved everything about Katerina Hotel! Best hotel on Ios! The views were breathtaking, the family who run it the most lovely and helpful people, right from the included pick up at the port nothing was too much trouble. The location is quiet but short walking distance to both town & the beach, the rooms fully equipped with everything you need & the bed was too comfy!

Hotel Katerina was amazing!! The location was perfect- only 7/10min walk into Chora and really close to the beach! The family running the hotel were so helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend and book here again if I come back :)

When loved the location. The hotel is beautiful, the pictures make it seem Like it’s on the beach but it’s actually quite a walking distance away so disappointing at first but it was fine! The pool area is beautifully. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! Rooms are cute, clean and beds are decent. We would definitely return!

To start the staff is the highlight. They made us feel special from the pickup at the port until our departure. Rooms are spotless clean with breathtaking views. Strategic location close to the beach and the port. We were upset we had to leave. We will definitely come back.

The rooms look new and fresh with a good shower, kettle, fabulous balcony and view plus a wonderful pool setting and view to Mylopotas. The bus stop to Chora and Mylopotas is just down the driveway. Highly recommended and we would stay again. Thanks for a great stay and friendly service.

I just stayed 10 days in hotel Katerina beginning of July 2017. Where should I start? My time there was way beyond my biggest expactions. The hotel is run by the whole family and everyone has his/her own tasks. Let me tell you that when you look at them or talk with them you don't have the impression that this is a task for them. Without exageration, I have never seen such kind and good hearted human beings in hotel business. They are commited and devoted and they do everything with passion and love. They do more than you can imagine. This is a family hotel, so no wild, fancy parties here and that is a good thing. Just relaxation, enjoying the view, the pool, the company, the sun. The father has build everything on his own (with help obviously) and everything is so well preserved and taken care of. The view and pool are exquisite. Breakfast are delicious and you have different choices. The HOMEMADE jam cooked by the mom herself which is so yummy. In 10 days I ate breakfast only 2 times at other places (for more or less the same price), but I preferred the one from Hotel Katerina. What they all do together requires a lot of work and and I am amazed and I admire them for that. It was my first time in Greece and I fell in love with Ios, with people in general on this Island but mostly with hotel Katerina and its family. Like a lot of customers I talked with, they come back every year because of this lovely family. I loved Katerina Hotel and all the family i met! Everything was perfect: it's the perfect place to stay at Ios island! "5" is the maximum rating the system allows, but if I could rate, i would like to rate at least 10! The cleanliness of the hotel was guaranteed from the first to the last second of my stay, the courtesy of the owners is one of the top qualities of this property, rarely i found kindinless and professionalism in the owners of a luxury hotel. The breakfast was rich and delicious, daily home made, the daughters of the owners are exceptional girls and with Viky (the first daughter) I felt right at home! They treated me like a daughter every day of my stay, without invasion but with so gentle and polite touch. The pool is always clean and shiny, the rooms are more than a level of 5 stars, the space of the entire location is harmonious and gives you breathtaking views across the Aegean Sea (you can see also Santorini island). Viky gave me all the useful info for my stay, from renting a car to the most popular places to visit, Viky's father personally accompanied me and my mother to the nearest car rental and to the supermarket . You will not often find in any part of the world the kindness and professionalism that I have found in this Hotel. In the Katerina hotel I did not find just one staff and excellent welcome service, I found Friends! I would recommend Hotel Katerina to everyone!

Katerinas is such a beautiful hotel and we can't speak highly enough about it. We had an absolutely splendid view from the top room with our own balcony and terrace area; one of the nicest places we've stayed in for a while. The hotel was new, clean and very tasfully designed; a typical mountain village layout with split-levels and staircases everywhere. The family running it were very friendly and were willing to go out of their way to help with picking us up from the ferry, taking our bags to the room, hiring a scooter etc. The pool was just long enough to be able to do some laps in the mornings and there was never an under-supply of sun lounges at the pool. The pool bar had snacks and cold beer - perfect :-) It's a shame we left Ios to go to Santorini, as it was a dreadful dirty and place choking with exhaust fumes. We should have stayed at this hotel for 3 more nights instead.

The wonderful view over the bay of Mylopotas. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, made up substantially by the members of the family: husband, wife and three beautiful children. All work together to smooth functioning of the hotel, including the small Katerina whose job is to smile at you with his big black eyes every time you meet her.

What an amazing experience! The hotel is wonderful, the pool and views are incredible and what an amazing family that made sure everything was perfect! Have visited Ios many times, but this is by far the best hotel with the best location on the island! Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to return next year!

Great location and very friendly staff

The family at Katerina hotel were very welcoming and helpful. We were picked up promptly as we arrived at the port and driven to the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and functional. To top it off the cliff view from Katerina was great of the aegean sea. They also have a lot of comfortable sun beds and a great pool to swim in.

The room and the view were absolutely beautiful. The family were lovely and very welcoming. The pool was great. The best hotel I have stayed at in Greece and brilliant value. I would recommend to anyone. We had room number one at the top and stayed longer than we planned as it was so nice.

Es el mejor hotel que hemos estado en Grecia! Todo es fantástico y vale cada centavo! Es cierto que tiene una subida pronunciada, pero Ios es así. Lo bueno es que esta ubicado en el medio entre el centro y la playa de mylopotas, se puede ir caminando hacia ambas o si alguno es mas vago el autobus para en la puerta. Ademas te llevan y te traen del Puerto. Sin dudas volveria ahora mismo!!
